#STAYWELL 2.0: With this crazy flu season alot of my recipes this week are geared towards fighting infection and here is another that’ll help you do just that! These sick killing recipes aren’t designed to be super yummy and tasty, their designed to “get the job done” so keep that in mind and MAN UP! :) The major thing that makes this one different is the addition of carrot juice. The beta carotene in carrot juice boosts the immune systems production of infection fighting natural killer cells and T-cells. The allicin, ajoene and thiosulfinates in garlic are the three powerhouses that are key in it’s infection fighting power and both garlic and ginger have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Oranges contain a hard hitting combo of vitamin C and phyto-nutrient bioflavonoids that work as a team to fight off free radicals and keep the body healthy. RECIPE: 2 oranges,10 carrots,2 cloves of garlic, 1-2 in. ginger. Using a juice extractor, process all of the ingredients. Pour into a beautiful glass and enjoy! NOTE: Put the ginger and garlic in first and follow with the oranges and carrots to rinse them through. I AM SO SORRY FOR THE LATE REPLY! D: Juicing is then you take a bunch of different veggies and or fruits and extract the juice from them, gaining a good amount of nutrients.
If you are interested in juicing, you should watch Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead and you can look through my juicing tag (and look through Tumblr’s juicing tag.)
I did feel really good when I juiced. I (tried) to substitute two meals for 16-22 oz of juice. My hair got longer, skin cleared up, lost a few lbs too! :) I say you should try it out and see if you like it. :)

Yesterday’s juice - Collards, purple cabbage, parsley, cilantro, apples, grapes, blueberries, oranges, and celery
Thursday’s Juice - Strawberries, romaine lettuce, green bell pepper, collards, cucumbers, green squash, and carrots.

Breakfast/Lunch Juice: Kale, parsley, mint, basil, cilantro, carrots, apples, grapes, celery, pears, and [not pictured] watermelon

My little juice fast is over… but that doesnt mean that I am stopping juicing…
I only did the juice fast so that I can cleanse my body of whatever was going on with it. I had kept feeling like I couldn’t breathe and that my heart was hurting and working way too hard.
I just wanted to cleanse my body’s need for unhealthy/processed foods. Which I think worked. I am going to be more strict on myself to use juice to substitute two meals and eating one solid meal a day.
I have to be strict, because by the time I leave to go back to my college state I want a good health foundation for continuing my healthy lifestyle change.
This juice fast is only lasting 4 days.
I added on an extra day because I was a cheater yesterday. But I am sitting here… Starving and I already drank my juice! What to do?!
[EDIT] - I HAD TO EAT A SANDWICH! D: It was on whole wheat bread and was chicken salad. I was so hungry… I couldn’t take it.
